Happy Monday! Help me welcome our 6th Grade Math teacher to the JBL Family. Read about her below. 馃挌

Hello, my name is Kim Flowers, and I鈥檓 very excited to be joining the 6th grade team at Little this fall. This will be my 16th year of teaching, although I took a hiatus to spend some time raising my daughter. I received my education degree from the University of North Texas. I previously taught in HEB as well as Mansfield ISD, but Little holds a special place in my heart since that鈥檚 where my daughter just graduated from 6th grade! She and I are animal lovers - we have two dogs, a cat, fish and a snake. I love pickleball and board games. I enjoy spending time doing just about anything outdoors, including gardening, camping, hiking and bike riding. I鈥檓 looking forward to this next school year, and can鈥檛 wait to be part of such an amazing school!

Greetings,
I am Tiffany Littlejohn, your Campus Testing Facilitator. During my 20+ years career in education, I have served as a teacher, an instructional coach, and an assistant principal. I am a proud alumnae of THE GREAT Prairie View A&M University (undergraduate) and Dallas Baptist University (master鈥檚鈥..twice). My husband Steven and I are parents to two wonderful young adults, Caitlin (24) and Seth (22). My hobbies include all things travel, Sunday brunching, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan, born and raised. In addition to my fandom, I am an opacarophile and a pluviophile. I鈥檝e been referred to as a 鈥渕ultifaceted mystery鈥 because I don鈥檛 fit into one category, and often march to the beat of my own drum.
Thank you for welcoming me to the J.B. Little family.

Help me welcome a familiar face at JB Little to a new position on our campus! Mrs. Hodnett with be one of our Resource/Inclusion teachers and we are so excited!!! Read about her below...

I am happy to begin my 27th year in AISD this fall! I was born and raised in Arlington, and attended Pope, Shackelford, and Lamar. I attended UT Arlington, and received a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business in 1990. I decided I wanted to have a greater impact on my community by teaching, so I became certified in 1998. In 2010, I went to school at night and earned a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

My husband and I have been married 31 years and have 3 daughters. Two of them have graduated from the University of Arkansas. Our youngest will be a SENIOR at The University of Texas at Austin. Woo Pig!!! and Hook 鈥楨m!!! Boy do I feel old!

I have taught at Roquemore, Bebensee, and Little, with the last 2 陆 years as the Testing Facilitator here at Little. Due to the expiration of a grant, my Testing Facilitator position is coming to an end. I am super excited that I have an opportunity to stay at Little and move back to the classroom as a Special Education Resource and Inclusion teacher! I look forward to getting to know my students and providing the support they need! It will be a fabulous year!

Please help me welcome Christy Pettit who is joining our 5th grade team at JBL.馃挌

Hello! My name is Christy Pettit and I鈥檓 excited to join Little Elementary as a 5th grade Math teacher next year! I have been in education for 18 years serving 15 years as a teacher and 3 years as an Educational Diagnostician. Growing with my students is my passion and I love seeing them grasp difficult concepts for the first time!
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from UTPB and later earned a Master鈥檚 degree from UNT. I have a wonderful husband and together we have a total of 6 grown kids and 10 grandchildren! There is never a dull moment in our house! I am an extreme dog and coffee enthusiast. We added 3 mini Australian shepherds to our family in the last year and I am working hard over the summer to train them! Other than dogs, my hobbies include art, movies, and reading when I find time.
