This week's Falcon of the Week was written by Glen Brunk: The Falcon of the Week was easy to write this week because we had one of our Falcons who very possibly saved a life. On Thursday afternoon a child came to the clinic suffering an allergic reaction that was steadily getting worse. Nurse Tice jumped to action, called 911, and administered the Epi-pen. The child's symptoms slowly improved and she was able to be released to her parent. I hate to think what might have happened if Nurse Tice had not been there to care for her and get her the medicine that she needed promptly. I also want to say special thanks to Hannah Stephens who sent the student down as soon as she saw a problem and called Nurse Tice to inform her, she was sending her, and to Dana Ware who came to the Clinic to help with the 911 call so that Nurse Tice could focus on caring for the student (everyone else was outside at dismissal as this was going on).

This week's Falcon of the Week was written by Glen Brunk: As we celebrate the career of Leslie Lambert this week I was thinking about all of the impact she has had at Farrell and wanted to nominate her for Falcon of the Week. Lambert has been a constant, reliable presence in our special education department for many many years. She has such a strong desire to provide support for students with learning challenges, and those who have had her support have been better because of it. These last couple of years she has taken on a leadership role on the team and has worked very hard to organize everything and meet all of the legal requirements while numbers of students with learning challenges has increased significantly. Lambert also has spent a lot of time over the years (and especially this year) supporting students with social and emotional challenges that disrupt their learning and the learning of others. She was a huge help with that last week. Thank you, Leslie Lambert for your many years of service to Farrell Elementary.

The only thing that would have made this year even better would have been the
opportunity to watch Leslie perform in a STAAR Pep Rally routine. IYKYK
