What is Career and Technical Education?

CTE Programs

Career and Technical Education offers technical skills, academic skills and employability skills that give our students a head start after graduation. Additionally, CTE helps to increase graduation rates through engaging classes that improve our students’ problem solving, time management, critical thinking and work ethic. For non-college bound students, our CTE classes provide hands-on training that translates directly into careers upon graduation. For college-bound students, CTE classes provide a way to investigate potential areas of study in postsecondary education, and a CTE Program of Study completion gives them a competitive advantage in college admissions.
