Assistive Technology service and support is determined by an ARD committee and directly assist聽a student with a disability in the selection,聽acquisition or use of聽an assistive technology device.
An Assistive Technology device is any item, piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified or customized, that is used to increase, maintain or improve the functional capabilities of a student with a disability.聽
