Guy C. Hutcheson was the radio operator for Admiral Byrd’s scientific expedition to Antarctica in the 1930s and later a devoted member of the AISD Board of Trustees for two decades. Hutcheson JH has played a significant role in educating generations of Arlington students.
In 2015, the building of Hutcheson JH was demolished and the AISD Career and Technical Education Center was built at the site. The legacy and impact of Mr. Hutcheson will live on. To uphold its memory, the AISD is preserving the school’s memorabilia.
