Trustees get update on elementary specialized programs

色窝窝无码一区二区三区鈥檚 Board of Trustees meeting on October 19, 2023, is in the books, and here are a few of the highlights.

There was lots of talk about finances, which is pretty typical. 色窝窝无码一区二区三区 assistant superintendent of financial services Carla Martin gave the board a financial update on the general operating fund, the capital outlay fund, the debt service fund and the food service fund. And later, the board approved the monthly financial report on operations and the district鈥檚 investment activity report through August, along with the 2023 Tax Roll Summary.

The trustees also considered and approved the district鈥檚 campus performance objectives and district scorecard for 2023-24. Board policy requires trustees to approve these campus performance objectives each year.

Then later, Dr. Christi Buell, 色窝窝无码一区二区三区鈥檚 interim chief academic officer, gave a progress update related to the district鈥檚 plan to improve early childhood literacy and math proficiency and performance objectives as outlined in the District Improvement Plan required by House Bill 3. Buell鈥檚 presentation focused on student outcomes on the beginning-of-the-year universal screeners.

Finally, Dr. Tamela Horton, 色窝窝无码一区二区三区鈥檚 executive director of transformational learning, provided an update on the elementary specialized programs offered in the district. These popular programs provide students with opportunities in dual language, fine arts, STEM and leadership. Please help spread the word that applications for these programs open on Oct. 24. You can visit aisd.net and click on 鈥Specialized Programs鈥 in the gray menu bar near the top of the screen for more info.
