Board’s approved budget includes employee raises
É«ÎÑÎÑÎÞÂëÒ»Çø¶þÇøÈýÇø’s Board of Trustees meeting on June 20, 2023, is in the books, and here is the major highlight.
While the meeting tonight included several items, it focused primarily on the 2023-2024 budget. That’s because the new fiscal year for É«ÎÑÎÑÎÞÂëÒ»Çø¶þÇøÈýÇø starts on July 1. So, tonight the trustees approved next year’s budget for the general fund, debt service fund, capital projects fund and food service fund.
The new budget includes a raise for district employees, including a 4% of median general pay increase for teachers, librarians and other employees paid on the teacher salary scale. Employees paid on salary schedules other than the teacher salary schedule will also receive a general pay increase of 4% of median of the 2023-24 paygrade mid-point.
Chief Financial Officer Darla Moss and her team deserve many thanks for all the work they’ve done for months to get this budget ready.
