All visitors to our building must enter the building at the front door and stop by the office to register and get a visitors' badge.聽 This includes visitation during lunchtime and before and after school.聽 Visitors without a badge will be asked to return to the office.

Student lunches are $2.25 and breakfast is $1.55.聽 You may send a check for a larger amount of money to deposit into your child's computerized account.聽 You may also go online to pay or check your child's account at any time by clicking the "Cafeteria Information" link on the right.聽 Students will be given a PIN number for daily use.聽 Your child's hand will be stamped as a reminder when his/her account fund becomes low.

When a student does not bring any money for a school meal, federal law does not require that a meal be provided for that student.聽 AISD chooses to do so with what is called a "short meal."聽 A "short meal" will consist of 1 serving of a hot vegetable from the line (no French Fries), 1 carton of 2% white milk and 1 package of saltine crackers.

You can sign up for the Free or Reduced-Price Meal program at the AISD Food & Nutrition Services building located at 1206 W. Arkansas Lane.聽 The hours of operations are:聽 Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.聽 The phone number is 682-867-7891.聽 You can also apply online by using the "Free and Reduced Lunch Application" link on the right.聽 All Free/Reduced lunch applicants must reapply each year.聽 It is required by law to send an application home with each student each year.

We ask that you review with your child the AISD Code of Conduct and the Beckham Parent Handbook.聽 We consistently adhere to the AISD Dress Code and consequences outlined for behavioral infractions in the district code.聽 Students should wear shoes that are safe for daily gym activities.聽 Flip-flops are not safe for active PE participation.聽 Shirt and short lengths are also outlined in the district policy.聽 Thank you in advance for carefully reviewing each of these documents.

As part of the Texas Education Code (Sec. 37.0012), all schools in Texas shall designate a Campus Behavior Coordinator whose primary responsibility is to maintain student discipline for the campus and be a contact for parents or guardians concerning individual student disciplinary actions by the school. The safety of your children is very important to the faculty and staff of Beckham Elementary.聽 To make morning and after school pick-up as safe and as smooth as possible, we are asking that you follow the following guidelines:

  • Please do not stop in the third drive-through lane.聽 It is imperative that this lane be reserved for moving traffic.
  • If you stop in the second lane, please do not leave your car unattended.
  • Please have your child exit the car near the closest sidewalk so that they do not have to cross traffic.
  • The two outside curb lanes in front of the school are for parking.聽 Cars MAY be left unattended.
  • The second lane closest to the building is for drop-off and pick-up only; cars MAY NOT be left unattended.聽 Please pull into an empty parking space as soon as one becomes available.
  • The third lane is for drive-through ONLY.聽 No vehicles should be stopped in this lane or left unattended.
  • Please do not park between the cones at the middle crosswalk as students and parents use this path to cross the driveway.
  • All students must use the crosswalk when crossing Southeast Parkway.
  • Please adhere to the drop-off and pick-up locations of your child's grade level.

We appreciate your help in making Beckham a safe environment for our students.
